A New Year!!
Heyy,
Welcome to my blog! My Understated Life of Crazy!
I’m Gloria. I’m a mommy to a rambunctious baby boy and a full-time student. Needless to say, I’m pretty busy most of the time. When I do have time, I like to do one of my many hobbies--Well, the ones I’m able to do without my son sticking something in his mouth. Lol.
Thinking back on 2017, I must admit it was a pretty crazy year, what with having a baby, adapting to motherhood and going to school, my mind was constantly in shambles and, well, hormones literally through the roof. There were plenty of good times, too! I’m not a complete sour puss, but I did have all these emotions and thoughts going on inside and no good way to release it all. That still hasn’t changed all that much which is why for 2018, I’ve decided to create a blog. Not to focus on just one topic. It’s more so to talk about anything and everything. My likes/dislikes, fears, hopes, random thoughts, you name it. At some point, I will also have some friends come in and collaborate with me! I’m really excited about that part. My friends are great and I value their thoughts!
Now, with the New Year coming up we all know that everyone will be making New Year’s resolutions. That’s all good and what not, but do people really go through with their resolution? I mean, yea, sure the first month, maybe two, but who really keeps up with it? I’m thinking not a whole lot. There are a good amount, though, that do follow through and actually try to achieve their goal. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not bashing those who don’t achieve their ultimate goal. Life does get in the way, among other challenges, but really the main problem is people set them too high; unachievable if you will. Why start your year with a challenge you most likely can’t overcome? The key, I believe, is to have many small resolutions. It could be daily, weekly, monthly, whatever you choose.
For me personally, I think small goals would be best. I am most definitely the person that makes this big New Year’s resolution and 2 weeks in, I’m done. So this year, I’m focusing on small goals and taking small steps to achieve those goals. Will my outcome take longer, it sure will and that is just fine.
To start off my year, I will go with four small goals and as the year goes on I’ll work to achieve them. And throughout the year, I will continue to achieve my goals and improve my state of mind because only God knows, I need it. So my starter goals are:
Stay positive, as much as possible.
Start being more active (walking)
Write at least one blog a week.
Drink more water
Those look good right!? Right. Since I’ve set mine, what are you going to do? You’re more than welcome to share! Don’t be shy. Ok? Cool. Until next time folks!
Wishing y’all a Happy New Year!
